Joel Sherburne Celebrates 58 Years at Calef’s

When I hear Joel say Calef's will "take you back to the 1850's", I believe he was working there then.

Calef's Country Store in Barrington recently held a party for Joel in honor of his 58 years working at the same location.

Joel will soon celebrate his 75th birthday, which means he started working at Calef's when he was 17 years old.

Joel received his first paycheck from Calef's during the Eisenhower administration. It was seven years before anyone had heard of the Beatles, and roughly twelve years before we put a man on the moon.

Joel Sherburne has outlasted the Beatles and our space program. Stop by Calef's in Barrington today, and he'll cut you some 'snappy cheese' just as he has done since before most of us were born.
