In Kittery, there are twelve reports of cars that were broken into this past Wednesday night into Thursday. These took place mostly in the Stevenson and Martin roads area. Money, a rifle were among the stolen items.

In Eliot, nine cars were broken into in the State Road area. Close to $900 in cash was stolen.

Both Police Departments think that many of the cars that were victimized were unlocked, and that the same person might be responsible for the break-ins.

Police ask anyone with information to call the departments. Kittery Police- (207) 439-1638, Eliot Police- (207) 439-1179.
