La Kermesse Festival Going On Now Through Sunday in Biddeford

I'm tapping into my French-Canadian Heritage (not pronouncing the H) and letting you know that one of the coolest summer festivals is underway (pronouncing an H before the U in underway) all through this weekend, right up the road in Biddeford.

All sorts of great music, food, movies, assorted entertainment and activities abound and the official schedule of events is right here.

This year you can buy a pink souvenir button and all of the proceeds from sales will be going to Southern Maine Health Care's Center For Breast Care.

I think it's terrific that this festival has been going strong for close to thirty five years and I would argue that it has the greatest name for a festival in all of the world. La Kermesse translated from French is 'The Frog'. Represent!
