The flash floods of last Friday allowed for 2 feet of water and debris to flood a section of the Children's Museum's storage area located in the basement.
Sadly, the museum lost much of it's Halloween decorations and craft supplies for the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular scheduled for this Saturday.

Earlier this week, workers found that the flood debris had damaged many of the photographs and memorabilia from the 33 year history of the museum.
According to a press release from the museum:
“It was devastating to see our history in photos, press clippings, newsletters and posters literally floating in water,” said Jane Bard, Museum President. “Our staff stepped in right away and began saving as many items as possible, and although that process is still continuing this week, I am hopeful that we will be able to save enough photos to represent our long history.”

The Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is still scheduled for Saturday. For more information on that as well as info if you'd like to make a donation, you can go here or call 603-742-2002.
