Leave Ben Anscheff Alone! Double Standard is Troubling [OPINION]

Ben Anscheff is an NAIA level pitcher for St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. and a damn good pitcher at that. He is also 6' 2" and 300 pounds and apparently that strikes quite a nerve.

In this era when every single word about body size is called 'body shaming' or 'fat shaming', it appears that the rule book is thrown away for certain people. Not once have I heard that he had 12 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched, just a bunch of unimaginative jokes about food consumption. I suppose even in these days of political correctness and social media hypersensitivity, not everyone is safe from ridicule.
