If you go on a hike where there might be bears, you just might get eaten by a bear.

In the past week a bear was killed for acting like a bear and an alligator was killed for acting like an alligator.

Aren't humans the ones who are supposed to have the superior intellect?

One of the first lessons I learned as a child was action-reaction-cause-result. For every action there is a reaction and so on and so forth.

We don't close down hiking trails or rock climbing destinations because people fall to their deaths. We applaud the risk takers in our society. We do our best to make sure if they perish , it's not in vain.

So why do we punish the animals and reptiles?

I"m a live and let live person. If you want to hike where bears roam, have at it. If you want to swim with reptiles, be my guest. Just know the dangers. And if you're still willing to take the chance, so be it.

If you lose an arm or worse, lose your life, you know who's to blame. It's the same as falling off a cliff. Look in the mirror.
