Lost 45’s Spoiler Alert: Rock Out and Learn German on this Colorful Episode!

Anyone who lived through the heyday of MTV will know exactly what song I'm talking about. For those of you that have never seen a video on MTV, you'll have to read more.

This week it's all about colorful tunes on The Lost 45's with Barry Scott. This 80's anthem from Nena is an odd one because '99 Red Balloons' is what we the English version of the song was called, yet the German version 'Luft Balloons' means air balloons.

The German version of the song is the one that 'lifted' itself all the way to Number 2 on The Billboard charts in early 1984.
