Matt 'Megatoad' Stonie is a competitive eater at the highest level and has both roots and records that tie in to Hampton Beach.

Joey 'Jaws' Chestnut shattered the world record yesterday at the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest by wolfing down an astounding SEVENTY dogs in ten minutes, defeating Matt by seventeen dogs.

Matt Stonie's 2015 winning performance certainly inspired Chesnut, the nine time hot dog eating champion, to levels that the competitive eating world has never seen.

According to Seacoast online, Matt spent many summers with his grandparents on Hampton Beach and the 24 year old had his first professional eating win at Hampton's Seafood Festival Lobster Roll eating contest in 2010.

His YouTube videos are very entertaining and not nearly as gross (In my humble opinion.) as Nathan's main event. Watch Matt take down 32 Jalapeno Poppers in 60 seconds below!
