Mermaid Sand Sculpture Causing Controversy On The Cape

Apparently the sculpture is a little too buxom for some. Is that even possible?

The sand sculpture is outside a restaurant in Yarmouth called Salty's Diner. The owner, Ray Roy, hired a sand sculptor to dress up the front of his establishment as part of a Yarmouth Summer Celebration.

The sand sculpture illustrates the restaurant's logo which is a mermaid riding a lobster.

The mermaid is a tad buxom, per the owners request, and guess what happened next?

That's right! Some people started to complain.

The Yarmouth Police Department had posted a picture of the voluptuous sand sculpture on it's Facebook page, and took it down because of the number of complaints to the department, as well as the Yarmouth Town Hall and Chamber of Commerce.

Good to know that with all the other issues of the day one could concern themselves with, a well-endowed mermaid sand sculpture is raising the hackles of the folks in Yarmouth.
