Monty Is Retiring From The Dover Mounted Patrol

Monty is retiring, and he's looking for a place to live out his 'golden years'.

After a stellar career in law enforcement, Monty is calling it a career. I wonder if he'll get a golden saddle for his years of service?

Well, Monty is wondering where he's going to spend his retirement, and that's where you come in.

According to the Friends of the Dover Mounted Patrol Facebook page:

We are officially beginning our search to find Monty his forever retirement home💙
If you or someone you know is interested and has the means and desire to adopt Monty please contact us!
We are only interested in people with intentions of keeping Monty for the remainder of his life!
Please consider the following prior to contacting us:
-backgrounds checks will be conducted
-barn visits will be made
-an adoption agreement will be signed
-horse experience a MUST and draft horse experience a PLUS
-no lesson programs
-ideal use - occasional trails
-must have at least one other horse that he is stabled with
-an ideal home would have plenty of turnout for him to enjoy

I love seeing the Dover Mounted Patrol on the streets of Dover. They have a calming effect, and they are wonderful ambassadors for the Dover Police. It never fails to put me in a good mood when I see them.

Please do what you can in the effort to give Monty the barn and fields he deserves!
