Movie Theater Showing ‘Insidious 3′ Instead of ‘Inside Out’ Brings Back Bad Memory

A movie theater in Middletown, OH made quite a horrifying mistake showing 'Insidious 3' instead of the Disney/Pixar kids movie 'Inside Out'. This brings me back to a similar experience I had at The Scenic Theater in Rochester in the late 70's.

While not as egregious an error, they played this trailer for 'The Amityville Horror' before 'The Muppet Movie' and I was not amused whatsoever. Once the feature presentation began, I only made it to Kermit being flung into Paul Williams' piano before I surrendered and had to go home.

It was that damn 'Amityville' trailer that put my mind in a bad place. I couldn't shake it, after the evil voice said "GET OUT!" that was all I wanted to do. I can't imagine how 5 year old Train would have handled 'Insidious 3'. Just from that experience alone, I wasn't able to enjoy 'Dots' for at least another 20 years.
