My family lived in Hollis, then moved to Nashua when I was 11 years old.  My teenage years were spent in the Gate City, so I have many fond memories of running around with my best friend, Lucie, getting in to trouble, all over Nashua - or Nausea, as we affectionately called it.  I did consider it a good place to live, but THE BEST?  I dunno about that.

According to The Patch, Nashua has been voted the best place to live in NH.  They story quotes Money Magazine:

While beautiful scenery and a sense of community can help give a location character, features like affordability, safety, convenience, and a bustling economy are always critical factors

I agree that Nashua is affordable in some spots, especially on French Hill where the apartments are really cheap.  You'll never be lonely on French Hill either.  There are people everywhere.  Nashua is also home to one of my favorite chinese food places EVER - The Lilac Blossom on Amherst Street.  It's gonna be PACKED on New Year's Eve, so order early.

But is it the BEST place to live in NH?  I would have to disagree.  I love NH and I don't want to live anywhere else, but if I HAD to choose just one place to live in the Granite State, it would be..... Wolfeboro, the oldest Summer Resort in America.  How could you not?  It's GORGEOUS.  It's more expensive than Nashua, but hey, what's money got to do with it anyway.
