Lee Frank will be calling the shots at the new establishment called 'Otis'. It's located adjacent to the 'Inn by the Bandstand', and is named after Otis Sleeper who built the building in the late 1800's.

Chef Frank has quite a resume and many foodee fans after stops in some of the seacoast's best dining spots throughout the years, including Arrow's, Bonta, and more recently, Anneke Jans in Kittery.

In an interview at seacoastonline:

Frank said he plans for the restaurant to be an “every day” place, where one can go for a quick bite or a special occasion. A full bar will serve a five-course tasting menu, and the 12- to 15-item regular menu will “stay true to New England tastes.”

Downtown Exeter has recently undergone somewhat of a face-lift recently with new sidewalks, and there is movement afoot to put Exeter on the map as a seacoast dining destination.

An early August opening is expected for 'Otis'. In the meantime, you can track the progress by going to their website.
