New Englanders Expected to Account for Millions on Roadways this Thanksgiving

According to Triple A of Northern New England, close to 51 million Americans are expected to travel this Thanksgiving, which is the highest volume since 2005.

Of those 51 million travelers, it's estimated that 2.45 million will be New Englanders who will journey 50 miles or more.

With all those vehicles on the roads, AAA and INRIX, a global transportation analytics company predict your travel time could be as much as three times longer than usual. So, as they say in the traffic biz...'pack your patience!'

In case you're wondering, the Thanksgiving holiday travel period is defined as Wednesday, Nov. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 26.
