New Hampshire is in the final stages of changing it's driver's license numbers.

Instead of 10 numbers, there will now be an 11-digit identification number.

The old system was based on a person's birthday and name. The new system will have three letters and eight characters that would be randomly assigned.

According to the press release, the change is to provide better security to license holders.

I'm not sure I'll even notice, as I rarely look at my driver's license.
