According to a report, NH is ranked 4th best in the nation on a list of best and worst states for working moms.

The survey by WalletHub studied factors that included salaries, the number of female executives, as well as the availability of daycare.

The study also touched on the usual issues regarding women in the work place, as in the fact that they earn only about three-quarters the pay that men earn. Also the 'ceiling' for women is much lower, evidenced by the fact that of all the Fortune 500 companies, less than 5% have female CEO's.

It does seem to indicate women still have a decision to make in many states. Choose between joining the work force, or staying at home and raising a family.

States bordering NH did well, including Vermont, ranked at #1, Massachusetts at #5, and Maine raking 8th in the nation.

South Carolina and Louisiana brought up the rear.
