A child smiling with joy as he receives a new pet on Christmas? Now that is sure to fill anyone with the holiday spirit.

The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will deliver pets to local families on Christmas, according to the Associated Press.

The shelter will send its “honorary elveS” to deliver the pets with gift packs and a special letter from Santa Claus. The service is limited to families within 15 miles of the shelter.

This service is only available for some animals and adoption procedures still apply. An extra fee will be charged for the festive delivery service.
