New Hampshire's first baby was born three months premature. "Gifty" Nnamerenwa wasn't supposed to enter the world until April, 2018. However, she showed up early at 1:46 a.m. on New Year's Day at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. according to the NH Union Leader. She was then rushed to the neo-natal intensive care unit at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where she and her mother are said to be doing well.

Gifty, who is named after her mother, weighed in at 1 pound, 1 ounce. Her mom says she is a "miracle baby."
