For the month of October, some New Hampshire and Maine police officers are taking a break from shaving all for a good cause.

According to Seacoast Online, the razors will be tucked away in order to raise money for a couple of children's advocacy groups. Officers will let their facial hair grow in support of children's advocacy groups in both Rockingham County in the Granite State and York County in Maine. The organizations both provide services for abused children.

During last year's fundraiser, close to $18,000 was raised for the Rockingham County center through 'Beards for Bucks.'

If you're wondering, female employees that will partake in the fundraisers will participate by wearing blue nail polish.
