The NH Fish and Game recently issued a statement that the black bear population has reached close to 6,000 and needs to be 'managed' to a number closer to 4,700. But there is another creature that was on that list that I'd like to see all but eliminated.

The wild turkey population is out of control in my opinion. Flocks of these aggressive, bird feeder raiding, foul, fowl are not to be taken lightly. Once I saw a flock attack my mailman on Sixth Street in Dover and it wasn't pretty.

While this reporter carrying on like a bad version of Cujo is hilarious, she is wise to seek cover. My letter carrier received a hell of a pecking from a half dozen Toms, then they stalked him to the next mailbox.

This reporter gets a similar treatment to that of which my mailman received. I would suggest we schedule monthly Thanksgiving dinners until the population is under control!
