That's good news! Here's the bad news. There could be 3% more tourists in NH this year.

That equates to about 15.9 million visitors to New Hampshire over the next few months. Tourism officials expect those folks to spend a tad over 3 billion dollars.

I expect traffic delays on the highway and beach roads. I expect it even harder to find a decent parking space in Portsmouth and the surrounding seacoast towns.

I expect waiting in long lines for a spot on any waterfront restaurant, ice cream stand, or to see a movie.

Of course the highest number of tourists who visit NH come during in the summer (40 percent), the exact time of year I want to relax after a tough winter and go to my favorite outdoor places without the traffic or crowds.

On the other hand, I suppose 2 billion in our coffers does keep some of our taxes down. Am I right? Hello. Anyone?
