The league has fined the New York Jets $100,000 for tampering charges filed by the Patriots involving Darrelle Revis. The Patriots, on the other hand, will not be fined.

That's right. The two teams filed similar charges against each other involving the same player!

The Patriots filed first when Jets owner Woody Johnson expressed his interest in Revis returning to NY in a December press conference. The Jets returned serve when Patriots owner Robert Kraft said in March, he was "sorry" Revis had left.

Patriots fans, myself included, were hoping the Jets would have to give up draft picks but sadly it will only be the fine for punishment.

I wonder what kind of punishment the Patriots would have been given if the roles were reversed? Fined $1M? Loss of all draft picks? Forfeit games?
