Three off-duty police officers were having lunch at the Village Restaurant in Essex near Boston last week, when an elderly man started choking on a hamburger, according to the Statesman. Officers Larry Kavanagh, Peter Silva, and Kirby Brand jumped into action and saved his life.

The Stateman says the man thanked the three police officers, and then proceeded to finish his meal. AND, he even ordered dessert!

Thank goodness the three long-time friends chose that particular restaurant to meet on the same day and time the elderly gentleman was there. This sounds like a case of divine intervention to me.
