Oh Bowie! Another Unreal, Surreal Performance Discovered [VIDEO]

Since the devastating news of David Bowie's passing on Sunday, nearly every minute of my free time has been spent listening to and watching as much classic footage of him as possible. I found this 'Midnight Special' performance of 'The Jean Genie' to be indescribable, so I must share it here.

Where to begin? The snarling and frantic movements all while wearing a fishnet top with artificial women's hands grasping at his chest. It's hilarious to see that Bowie's fingernails are done in a similar style.

This high definition rendition of the tune complete with 3 piece horn section is one that I'd never seen before. And I hope that I find more like it. I can't imagine what Ma and Pa in middle America must have thought when they saw this performance in 1973. 42 years later, it is still as horrifying as it is wonderful.
