On Golden Pond Author Holding Auditions for New Film Here in NH

If you asked me what my top 10 all time favorite movies are, On Golden Pond would, no doubt, be on the list.  Now the same author is making another movie to be filmed right here in NH and he's holding auditions this Saturday!

According to Seacoast online,  auditions are set for Saturday, September 8th at the Holiday Inn, 300 Woodbury Ave., Portsmouth. Auditions for cast and crew will run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Auditions for extras and volunteers will run from 3 to 5 p.m.

On Golden Pond came out in 1981 and was filmed on Squam Lake, in the Lakes Region of NH.  I remember seeing it as a kid thinking that I lived in a very famous state.  It is a beautiful film that I appreciate more and more as I get older.  This scene, among many in the film, makes me cry like I'm seeing it for the first time.
