Only In Maine: Gigantic Snake Skin Found in Westbrook

Someone found a gigantic snakeskin along the banks of the Presumpscot River in Westbrook this weekend and these Mainers do not seem the least bit alarmed about a possible 10-foot creature slinking through the local waterway.

I can only conclude that this is some sort of a hoax. If there is an exotic snake living in these parts it will freeze solid one night around Columbus Day.

The Facebook post from the Westbrook Police Department contains both great advice and manages to have a 'tongue in cheek' comedic tone to it. I applaud whoever wrote it.
