Only in Maine: Gym Offers ‘Axe Throwing Range’

While the target is quite similar to the lumberjack sport that I'm familiar with, the variation of 'ax throw' offered in Westbrook is little scarier looking than what I'm used to.

This NECN report on The Maine Warrior Gym's 'Axe Pit' from Danielle Waugh just seems more violent with the one handed hatchet technique.

Here is the traditional double over handed method that I've used at some local competitions.

In my opinion, this looks more refined and not so horror movie-esque.

The Axe Pit is available to reserve for corporate events, bachelor parties or even a romantic first date! Classes are offered for groups of up to 6 people.
