The Wall Street Journal recently reported that a company called Grammarly, which is an automated proof reading company that can check writing for 400 types of spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, recently checked the comment section of each NFL's team website's news feed.

They scanned through 150 comments from each team, and those comments had to contain at least 50 words. They counted the errors.

And then Grammarly ranked them.

The Patriots were 4th worst with 11.6 mistakes per 100 words. Only Dolphins, Saints, and Redskins fans ranked worse. Redskins fans came in last with 16.5 mistakes per 100 words.

The Detroit Lions fans were ranked #1 with 4.2 mistakes per 100 words. Rounding out the top 3 were Packers fans at #2 and Eagles fans at #3.
