Let's forget the Worst Call in NFL History for now and focus on the positives. This defense. Wow.

When you're not getting much from Brady and Josh McDaniels (run the ball on 1st down for 9 yards to the 1-yard line, and then throw to the FB??) it's comforting to know that your defense CAN win you a game.

The defense was aggressive up front and made some great plays in the secondary and held the Chargers to only 7 pts. That's incredible. The only difference from last week is that they were able to get off the field on 3rd down with a few monster sacks.

The flow of the game was not in the Patriots favor, and then this happened...

Clean hit that was flagged for "helmet to helmet". Worst call in NFL history, or worst call in NFL history? And then Collinsworth, normally a voice of reason, said it was a good call.

If Rivers didn't throw an INT later in the drive this could have been HUGE. The Patriots were not moving on offense and points were hard to come by in this game.

The league needs to find a solution to these calls. Why not subject them to a replay? These refs have no clue how to call these plays anymore and it's ruining the game.

Patriots now need to win out to secure home field advantage throughout and now only divisional games remain.
