It has already been deemed the worst play call in Super Bowl history by many folks, but before we judge Pete Carroll on that final play call, why don't we let him explain what he was thinking.

I could not disagree with him more. You run the ball with the most ferocious running back in the game from the one yard line when the game is on the line. I don't care about time outs, or time left on the clock, in that situation you need to score a touchdown. It was 2nd and goal from the one. Don't get pretty. You run the ball, call timeout if he doesn't make it (not likely), then you have a decision to make.

I must say thank you, because you gave the Pats a shot and they took it. Super Bowl champs once again.
