Back in the 90's you may have seen actor, Christian Anderson perform at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. He then went on to Broadway and last night his spectacular puppet act was on 'America's Got Talent.'

Christian created the puppet characters Ira and Miriam. Ira is an incredible singer and Miriam is his 'stage mom.' Christian plays Ira while Miriam is played by Howie Michael Smith, also an actor. Anderson used to live in Portsmouth and later Greenland, but now resides in Los Angeles.

Their act appeared on 'America's Got Talent' in May when Ira sang 'You Are So Beautiful,' to judge Mel B. That performance brought the house down, the crowd loved it! Not only is Ira (Christian) an excellent singer, but he is very funny as well. So is his mother, Miriam (Howie).

Last night they competed in the semifinals with an outrageous performance of 'Copacabana.' 'America's Got Talent' continues with the semifinals tonight beginning at 8PM.
