The Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery in Raymond is mulling over a plan that includes bringing an eatery to the iconic Saugus site.

Tuckaway opened in Raymond in 2012 and they've been looking to expand their brand. They've been thinking about the old Hilltop Steak House location since that restaurant closed in 2013.

In an article at unionleader.com, Tuckaway General Manager Bobby Marcotte confirmed that indeed they are considering that prime location.

“We are most certainly eyeing it and hopefully more. We are constantly being compared to what they used to do. We like to say we are a Hilltop 2.0. There’s no question that we think it would be an absolutely perfect fit for us,”

It would be nice to not only see a new restaurant on that site in Saugus, but to have it be of the same steakhouse genre, complete with a butcher shop, seems cosmic appropriate.
