This story from my Stupid News segment still has me laughing even though it's been hours since I read it. I had to research further to prove that it was true, thankfully for Mary Horomanski, it was caused by a decimal point error.

According to GoErie.com, Ms. Horomanski had a monthly payment option of just over 28 thousand dollars.

Penelec, the power company, quickly fixed the error and thankfully a dozen or so zeros were magically erased from the $284 bill.

I love how her initial reaction was to blame a nearly $300 billion dollar debt on their Christmas lights! That would surely make Clark Griswold proud!
