Red Sox Insider Tom Caron on the Dangers of High Expectations

On today's episode of The Red Sox Insider Report, I long for this Red Sox team to scorch the earth and be the greatest team that has ever played in the history of baseball and Tom Caron attempts to bring me back down to earth with both perspective and intellect.

The New England sports fan still generally looks at the glass as half empty even though our teams have won TEN championships over the last sixteen years. We should ENJOY this domination and relish the fact that the rest of the sports world LOATHES us.

What better way to crank up the hate factor with a record breaking 117 win season AND another World Series Championship? That would be downright obnoxious and I mean that in the most glorious of terms.

If J.D. Martinez wins the triple crown and World Series MVP WHILE helping the team accomplish this feat? Hey, that's just frosting on the cake!
