Normally, it's quite helpful and a good interview when the festival coordinator drops in. Not so much here. Watch this up and coming reporter handle this odd situation like a pro.

Reporter Jared Goodell is from Keene, and a journalist for New Hampshire's public access Cheshire TV. He had been broadcasting from The Pumpkin Festival for 8 hours when the coordinator of the festival, Ruth Sterling came by for a segment. Being a good reporter, Jared, though stationed at the Pumpkin Festival, began to report on the ugliness that was occurring in not far from where he was. As the clip shows, Sterling did her best to keep newsman Jared from reporting on the riots that led to injuries and arrests. Sterling even tried to steal Goodell's microphone and block him from the camera, even saying she was going to "pull the plug" if he didn't stop talking about the craziness that was taking place just a few blocks away. Jared was undeterred.

By the way, Jared Goodell spent $5,000 of his own money to make the broadcast happen. That is money well spent, as Jared Goodell got a great resume tape showing he's got what it takes to make a great reporter.

Here's to a tremendous career for Jared Goodell!
