Apparently what they had here was a failure to communicate.

It turns out a local pig farmer had gotten permission to take the pumpkins and use it to feed his piggies. These pumpkins were left over from this months Pumpkinfest, and were hopefully going to be sold at this weekends craft fair.

The Somersworth Festival Committee had stored the pumpkins in bins behind the pavilion near the High School. Though the pumpkins were still in the bins on Saturday, those same bins were found empty Monday night.

Thankfully, the pumpkin caper has come to a conclusion with apparently no charges expected to filed.
