The tree in question is the Ginkgo Biloba and all of their leaves drop within just a few hours. That's it, no muss, no fuss, rake the leaves once and you're done until next October. If only our maples and oak played by the same rules. Watching it happen is quite amazing as well.

They can survive quite easily here in New England, it endures our harsh winters very easily. In fact, there is a beautiful one outside James Hall at UNH in Durham, NH.

Make sure you plant one with cones and not seeds as their seeds smell strongly of vomit, due to butyric acid. One should avoid a stinko Ginkgo at all costs. What fun is raking just one day of the year if you have to do it wearing a gas mask?
