It's a full day of crafters, entertainers, various activities, and oh yeah, lots and lots of strawberries.

This Saturday marks the 40th anniversary of the annual South Berwick Stawberry Festival. It takes hundreds of hard working volunteers to put on this event.

As usual, the official Strawberry Festival Activities take place on the Central School grounds, right in downtown.

The main attraction is the Strawberry Shortcake tent which opens at 9am, the same time everything gets underway. More than 250 cases of strawberries and 70 gallons of whipped cream are what it takes to make it a success, not to mention all the volunteers who hull, slice and sugar the strawberries.

It's always a good time for the entire family. And once you're done, you can leave the kids with the sitter and head over to America On-Tap in Eliot from 3-6pm.
