The alleged 111mph speed of Methuen MA resident Javier Carroza-Aspachs would even impress other Massachusetts drivers. Ok, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but when you realize what the speed limit on Rte. 302 was at the time, it makes it that much more shocking.

According to police reports, Mr. Carroza-Aspachs was traveling 111 mph eastbound on Route 302 in a 45 mph zone! Almost 70 miles an hour OVER the posted speed limit!

This leaves me with 2 important questions to which I may never know the answer.

1. What kind of car can handle maintaining that speed through The White Mountain National Forest?

AND

2. Did Mr. Carroza-Aspachs perhaps think that the route marker WAS the speed limit?
