Currently New Hampshire ranks 33rd nationally in solar development, but that's about to change.

The company in Stratham is NHSolarGarden.com, and they are creating more solar energy in NH by building solar arrays throughout the Granite State.

According to an article in Fosters.com:

"Already approved is a 190-kilowatt array in Dover, 200-kilowatt array in Lee, 69-kilowatt array in Newmarket, 295-kilowatt array in Rochester, 181-kilowatt array in Durham and a 1,069-kilowatt array in Milton."

Andrew Kellar, who founded the company, thinks the time is now for development of this energy souce, citing that New Hampshire's electricity rate is eighth highest in the nation. In the same Foster's article, Kellar says:

“This is the time when our state and our communities are looking for a different way to obtain energy,” Kellar said. “There is an opportunity to make serious changes in our state. New Hampshire needs to get caught up.”

I say it's about time we do more. As I write this, it's 90 degrees outside, and if you're not wearing a hat, the sun will burn a hole in your head. I'm no expert, but I think solar energy is a pretty powerful source.
