We all know of the unconditional love between dogs and their owners. More than likely our relationship with them is better than with most humans. Humans let you down on occasion. Dogs never do.

And as if we needed more proof of this relationship, PoochPerks.com recently conducted a survey of dog owners to rank the priority of their partner against their dog, and guess the result.

Ranking on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being completely devastated, dog owners were asked how bad would it be if their dog ran away, versus if their relationship ended.

Well, I'm sure it comes as no shock to find that the dog running away hit a 9.1 on the devastation scale against a measly 8.8 if the relationship ended.

According to Tina Vidal, President of PoochPerks;

“Our dogs are more than just pets. They are companions who provide emotional support and joy in our lives -- much in the way a spouse is meant to. So the fact that so many Americans would choose their dog over their partner may not come as a surprise to those of us who would do anything for our pup."

Next week, I'll discuss whether or not a bear goes potty in the woods.
