John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" took on a new meaning for me as December in 1980 is when he was taken from us and you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing this wonderful song and better message.
December 8th 1980 was a defining moment for me. Until that point, my sixteen year old self thought only political leaders and violent heads of state could get murdered.
