Take A Ride In A Domed Railroad Car

This is very cool, especially for train enthusiasts as Amtrack will be offering rides in a 1955 domed railcar on the Downeaster.

If you ride the Downeaster train between Saturday and September 18, you could ride in these rail cars which provide wonderful views during your travel.

They have an upper level with windows on all sides. You'll have great views of everything along the Downeaster route, including streams, marshes, even the coastline.

There won't be any extra cost to ride in the domed car, but If you want to grab these seats, you'll have to act quickly, as they'll be available on a first come, first served basis.

The Downeaster provides train service from Boston to Portland with four daily New Hampshire stops in Exeter, Durham and Dover.
