Teacher Accused Of Calling Lefties ‘Sinister’

Ok all you 'southpaws', check your scalp for horns.

An Oklahoma pre-K teacher is accused of forcing a 4-year old to write with his right hand instead of his left. The reason? The teacher allegedly believes that being left-handed is "evil" and "sinister".

According to a report:

"Alisha Sands said her son Zayde, 4, is left-handed just like her, which is why she was surprised to find him using his right hand to do his homework last week. Suspicious, Sands asked her son if any of his teachers ever said anything about his hands. He responded by raising his left hand and saying "this one's bad."

Ms. Sands was concerned and reached out to the teacher, and the teacher sent her child home with literature calling left-handedness “unlucky,” “evil” and “sinister,” and noted “the devil is often portrayed as left-handed.”

As of now, the teacher faces no discipline.

Let's not be too quick to judge this teacher. I know a few lefties, and more than a few them exhibit behaviors that seem to emanate from the fires down below.

A quick study show's that none of the Shark staff is left-handed, but you might want to do your own study of family, friends and colleagues and see if any lefties fit the profile.
