(Bedford, NH) - New Hampshire State Police have charged a Merrimack teenager with Impersonating a Police Officer.

19 year old Chance Lacasse was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police were told a suspicious individual had just left a business in Merrimack. He was dressed in a police jacket with State Police patches was carrying a handgun on his hip.

Lacasse was located a short time later in Bedford and taken into custody.

IN OTHER NEWS: 

The New State Senate will be taking up an 11.2-billion dollar budget proposal approved Wednesday by the House. While the proposal is higher than the current  2-year state budget, it is several hundred million lower than the budget proposed by Governor Maggie Hassan and is being soundly criticized by Democrats for cutting funding and services for state residents.

A Maine teenager is facing a murder charge.. State Police say a 16 year old boy was arrested Wednesday for the stabbing death of 49 year old Steven Hodgdon last month in Troy, Maine. The boys name has not been released.

The Keene City Council will vote tonight on a requested permit for this years Keene Pumpkin Festival. A council committee has twice rejected the permit request, citing the problems last year when rioting broke out near the Keene State campus across town.

Allegiant Air says it planes will be flying today on schedule. A Federal Court has issued a temporary restraining order against pilots who had planned a strike today in protest of the airlines change in crew scheduling and a rollback in a disability program and other benefits.  Allegiant serves the Portsmouth Regional Airport at the Pease Tradeport.
