And chances are, it's probably growing just a few feet from the ivy that 'poisoned' you in the first place. It's called 'Jewelweed' and it's easy to recognize and even easier to use.

All the videos that I've found on this subject are a little wordy in my opinion. All you need to do is rip a couple of these plants out of the ground, crush up the stalks or leaves and put the resulting resin directly on your infection. Sweet relief!

It also works on any conceivable skin irritation including poison oak and insect bites. Jewelweed is really quite the cure all.

Don't be alarmed by their exploding seed pods. They kind of look like tiny green bananas and will pop like a natural firecracker if you apply any pressure to them. It can be a very fun pass time on a lazy summer day.
