The Cars Are Nominated For The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

Frankly I was surprised to learn they're not in yet.

The Cars were certainly one of the most successful bands of the late 70's-early 80's and I'm happy that they are nominated.

But let's give a nod to other great bands from Boston who are still mysteriously missing even from the nomination list including 'Boston' and the 'J.Geils Band'.

Other nominations for the Rock Hall Class of 2016 are Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, Chicago, Yes, Steve Miller, Los Lobos, Janet Jackson, N.W.A, Nine Inch Nails, The Smiths, Chaka Khan, Chic, and The Spinners.

I like Cheap Trick and Los Lobos, but do they deserve to go in before Boston or the Geils band?

The top vote-getters will be announced in December and inducted in April in New York City.
