Lottery officials probably never dreamed that the top prize would get this high. 1.6 billion dollars is a 10-digit number...$1,600,000,000.

The jackpot may get higher by drawing time tonight. Long lines have been reported in the 45 states and the US Virgin Islands where Mega Millions tickets are sold.

Lottery officials say the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.

Have you bought your $2 ticket?
