The new owners are hoping to keep the Stone Church as a bar and music venue as well as making it the centerpiece of a bustling Newmarket.

In an article at Fosters.com, the new owners, Michael and Cheryl Hoffman talk about their plans for the venue.

The Stone Church has been host to both local and national touring acts since the 1960s. The building was originally a public meeting house built in the 1800s. “It’s a big part of the Seacoast, it’s part of Newmarket, it used to be a central attraction to a lot of Newmarket, and it still is,” said Michael, who is also the Newmarket town building safety and health officer. “It’s a great music venue. It’s something that we can bring back and revive the music scene a little more.”

It's been a difficult few years for the Stone Church, but hope springs eternal, and here's hoping the Hoffman's bring back the glory of the 'Church" and make it a destination for those wanting to see the best in music.
