New Hampshire actually got off pretty easy as far as bottlenecks go, with the report finding only two areas of congestion worth writing about.

Route 125 in Epping near Route 101 is believed to cause 159,000 hours of delays each year.

The northbound Spaulding Turnpike approaching the General Sullivan Bridge, which is currently being widened, causes 128,000 hours of delays for drivers.

As you might expect, our neighbor to the south, Massachusetts didn't fare so well as far as time wasted in traffic.

For instance, according to the study, the 1.9 mile stretch of the Central Artery northbound between the Mass Turnpike and the ramp to the Tobin Bridge, is responsible for 2.1 million hours of delay, costing an estimated $58 million in lost time, and wasting almost 2 million gallons of gas.

I'm glad my daily commute is short, and in the wee small hours of the morning. Too many people, not enough space.
